Joining Frontline International Private School

We are proud to be the first ‘Good’ rated British curriculum school in Ajman!

Thank you for considering our school for your child(ren). We are very confident that your child will be successful at our school.

Our Admissions Policy is designed to ensure we adopt a diverse community of learners reflecting our international community who are from close to 50 countries.

As a British Curriculum School, and in line with Ministry of Education requirements, please note age requirements are based on your child’s age at 31st August.

Required Documents

The school requires all parents/guardians to submit the following documents to the school as part of the Admission process:

  • Copy of Student recent photos (passport size).
  • Copy of Emirates ID (both sides)
  • Copy of the student Passport,
  • Copy of student’s Birth Certificate.
  • Copy of student vaccination records.
  • Student last academic report card received (From Year 1/ KG2 Onwards) from their previous school.
  • Copy of the Parents’ Emirates ID (both sides)
  • Copy of the Parents’ Passport (both Mother and Father)
  • For UAE nationals only: Copy of خلاصة قيد (Khulasat Qaid) Family Book

Entry Requirements

Frontline International School – Ajman admits students according to the UAE Ministry of Education and the school policies. The assessments are based on evaluating learning skills and learning potential and suitability to join our community of learners.

The assessment for students in Year 3 (Grade 2) until Year 9 (Grade 8) will involve an online assessment which covers four core areas: Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative and Spatial Reasoning (measures of developed ability) and English and Maths (measures of subject attainment).

Pre-KG to Gr 1

EYFS and Key Stage 1

For FS1 (Pre KG), FS2 (KG1), the evaluation is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (UK curriculum) numeracy and literacy age-related expectations, which also includes fine motor skills, communication and social skills. Non-verbal clues may be used. Also, an appropriate face-to-face interview will also be undertaken by a member of the academic team.

For Year 1 and 2 (KG2 and Grade 1) and above the test is in English, Maths and fine motor skills. Also, an appropriate face-to-face interview will also be undertaken by a member of the academic team. 

Key Stage 2

Upper Primary

Students from Year 3 until Year 6 (Grade 2 to Grade 5) will take the online assessment, a written English task and a written Arabic paper will also be given. 

This assessment may also include a meeting with a member of the academic team.

Note: From Year 6 (Grade 5) boys and girls are in separate classes.

Key Stage 3

Lower Secondary

Cambridge Lower Secondary is typically for learners aged 11 to 14 years. It helps you prepare students for the next step of their education, providing a clear path as they progress through the Cambridge Pathway in an age-appropriate way.

Our Lower Secondary curriculum provides uninterrupted continuation from our Primary Programme and a very clear progression pathway for our Upper Secondary courses. Our curriculum is regularly adapted towards the needs of all our students offering a broad and balanced curricular to enable all students to succeed. 

Key Stage 4

Upper Secondary
(IGCSE)

Students to be considered for admissions in Year 10 (Grade 9) will take the online assessment, a written English task and a written Arabic paper will also be given. 

The student will also meet with a member of the academic team to discuss suitability for IGCSE course selection

Due to the format of a two-year continuous course at IGCSE/GCSE programme; no new admissions will be accepted in Year 11 (Grade 10).

Admissions in Key Stage 5 AS/A level

AS level (Year 12/Grade 11) Admission Criteria

Admission is at the discretion of the school.

  • An interview will be necessary to be offered a place in Year 12 (Grade 11).
  • Interview with the Vice Principal when visiting the School.
  • A Minimum of 5 IGCSE/ GCSE Grades A* – C or Grades 9 – 5
  • Grades B (Grade 6) or above in their subject to study AS Level.
  • Due to the timing of examinations, we cannot accept students in Term 2.

A level (Year 13/Grade 12) Admission Criteria

External Admission is at the discretion of the school for Year 13. 

Students usually are admitted after completion of AS levels with a minimum of 2 AS levels at Grade C and above.
